The Spring 2010 Atlanta Australian Rules Football League will return to a three team competition commencing in February. There also be three women's teams that will be organised with each AARFL men's teams. The make up of the teams is currently being decided however its fair to say that one will be based in Atlanta, one just north and one on the west side of town.
The competition is looking for new players for all teams so please contact Recrutiment director Dave Evans with the form on the front page to express your interest.
Robinson leads the way with 95 goals (from 29 games) and Kraska is close behind with 92 goals (from 40).
Both players scored 5 goals last Saturday for their team The Downtown Dingoes and will be odds on to reach the century this season with a possible two games to go.
Also at stake is the season goal kicking race, with both players right behind current leader Curtis Jones. Jones leads with 17 goals, to Robinson's 16 and Kraska's 12.

In a end to the season that could only be described as controversial the Roswell Rebels won the 2008 Fall AARFL Premiership trophy with a final game draw that wasn't verified till hours later.
One of the closest competitions in AARFL history came down to the last game of the season. A win by either team would give them the trophy. Midtown, with the better percentage, trailed Roswell by a game and after easily beating Roswell in the previous two games, felt confident about their chances. But Roswell would not lie down. There was never more than a goal in it during the game, until Midtown went up by 3 goals late in the last quarter. Or so they thought. It turns out the score board did not match the official scoresheet Midtown dropped back into second gear allowing Roswell to kick a couple of goals, one of them Garofalo, after the final siren had sounded.
With Midtown celebrating, what they thought was their fourth title in a row, photos were taken and the trophy presented. It wasn't until some hours later that statistician-extraordinare Marty Hyder audited the score sheet and found that the final result was in fact a draw, 11 goals 11 behinds each and that Roswell had won the AARFL trophy. This made the Roswell team very happy, especially Garafalo as he had kicked, what turned out to be, the season winning goal.
Being the sportsman that he is, Midtown Captain-Coach Curtis Jones presented the trophy to Roswell representative Mick Frost at the Kookaburra's Annual General Meeting later that night without fuss and congratulated him on his winning season. While this is a blow to Midtown's pride, it will certainly make for an interesting 2009 Spring season due to start in February.
The Midtown Bombers turned around their lack luster start to the fall AARFL season on Saturday morning with a huge win over the Roswell Rebels. In full flight from the first bounce the Bombers thrashed an undermanned Rebels team who must now regroup even though they are still two wins ahead of the Bombers on the ladder.
The Bombers first quarter on Saturday set the tone for the day as they kicked 6.9 to nil to lead by 45 points at the first break. Russ Barner was again the standout for the Bombers and combination with Ed Robinson and Eric Baker up forward the Bombers tore the league leaders apart in no uncertain terms.
The Roswell Rebels took a stranglehold on the 2008 Fall AARFL season when the Midtown Bombers were forced to forfeit their latest game due to insufficient players. The win for Roswell moves them to a 3-0 record over the Bombers and in a 6 game season it looks highly unlikely the Bombers will be able to come back and retain their Premiership title.
The game on the weekend was reduced to a scrimmage with several players swapping teams and taking turns at umpiring. The next game is this coming Saturday 22nd November before a weeks break for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Roswell Rebels continued their good start to the 2008 Fall season with another win over the Midtown Bombers in round 2. The Rebels started well up forward again with 5 goals straight in the first quarter setting up a handy lead of 15 points at the first change. Carl Garafolo looked like he was in for another good game with 2 goals and his running with Brent Kewley was too much for Midtown Bombers to combat.
But what has been a characteristic of both games so far in the second quarter the lead was soon reduced to nothing as Midtown held Roswell goalless in the term and definitively got on top through the midfield. Shane Wamsley returning for a cameo performance was part of that effort as he stopped Roswells many attacks.
The local Australian Rules Football League commenced Saturday with a surprise win by the Roswell Rebels over the reigning champions the Midtown Bombers. The game was played in excellent conditions considering the day before in Atlanta and both teams were pleased to see Dave Evans make his debut as an umpire after this recent health scare. The same couldn't be said for his umpiring partner in Jim Batten who has retired yet again from playing.
There were goals to have on both teams early as neither side able to gain full control. Scores were level at 1/4 time and at the half Roswell led by one point, much to great work by their smaller players like Carl Garafolo and first game rookie Clark Wylie. In the middle where ruck contests were crucial in gaining first possession the Bombers were on top with four ruckmen being rotated. Even the visiting and very fit looking Greg Cave slipped in and won a few taps as the Bombers with Curtis Jones and Ed Robinson playing well came back and took the lead midway through the third quarter with a six goal burst.
